I recently enhanced my PC's enclosure and graphics card. As someone with hands-on experience in building systems, I’m familiar with software tweaks and hardware adjustments, such as swapping in a 7600x and installing the right drivers. The machine functioned well for a few weeks before experiencing sudden blackouts and halted operations. After updating the BIOS firmware, re-seating the CPU and GPU, reinstalling drivers, and running multiple tests, the problem persisted as a random event. The GPU stays cool under load, typically reaching about 55°C, while the PSU handles power demands without exceeding 750W. During deeper checks, I noticed the card would unexpectedly shut down in Device Manager, and fatal hardware warnings appeared in WHEA. The only consistent issue was secure boot (enabled) and the PCIE express root port. However, searching online, my PCIE express root port serial doesn’t match any results I found. There’s limited information available on this matter. I should note that even with an Intel LGA1700 system running a 12th-gen CPU, such instability shouldn’t be expected. I’ll try to capture a video if possible, though the random timing makes it difficult.

Hey there! You just got a RX 7600 GPU, but things seem off. Did you update your BIOS? Please share your PC details. Also, verify if fast boot is turned on in BIOS. If yes, then also check Windows settings. Fast start is what people refer to here. Make sure both OS are aligned; otherwise, it could cause issues.

Details: Intel I3 12100F GPU paired with Gigabyte Rx 7600 PSU, housed in a Silver Casecom 700W case. Not modular design—while gaming, all displays shut down abruptly. Even when powered on, the screens remain off. Fans spin but the PC stays unresponsive; I can still see GPU indicators and hear fans. Rebooting requires pressing the power button. After switching back to Windows, neither monitor lights up—they’re completely unrecognized. Drivers appear missing; AMD Adrenaline Edition fails to launch, and the GPU is disabled in Device Manager. When trying to enable it via Device Manager, the second screen turns on but freezes under load. The system also experiences general sluggishness. The BIOS update was prompted by standard troubleshooting—replaced drivers and isolated the issue. I attempted your fast startup method; both BIOS and Windows options were active. Disabling them didn’t resolve the problem. Appreciate your assistance!
