System experiences performance drops after every fifth or sixth startup.
I use a Ryzen 3700X on an Asus Strix b450 motherboard with 32GB of 3400MHz RAM. Originally it ran at 3600MHz, but I had to downclock it to work properly with the board. Every few boots, my CPU drops to about 0.5GHz, forcing me to restart and sometimes reload the BIOS to get it back online. This issue started recently and has become more frequent. I found another discussion a while back but didn’t get a clear solution. Could anyone on the forum assist me? Feel free to share any extra details!
It was actually the right decision from the start. I just wrapped up the updates and tackled a lot of problems, but I’m finally back in Windows. I’ll keep watching for any further issues. Thanks!
I experienced this once before (just today). I didn’t need to update BIOS settings or anything—just restarted Windows. No clear reason for me, but since the B550 Tomahawk is brand new, it might be a minor issue with the very recent BIOS version. It could be similar for you if you were using an older BIOS with a small glitch.
