Hello! I set up my system a few months ago and have noticed occasional slowdowns—sometimes it freezes for under a second, affecting performance like audio, movement, etc. This happens a couple of times daily. There aren’t any clear error messages in the event log, and it occurs whether I’m playing games or just browsing. It doesn’t follow a specific pattern, so it isn’t overly disruptive. Still, it bothers me a bit. No other issues have appeared except for a DRAM-related problem during a Windows update, which resolved itself after rebooting and updating. The event log seems normal, fans don’t speed up around that time, temperatures aren’t spiking. I checked the Device Manager and found driver errors with two known devices: AMDI0052 and AMDIF031, plus network and PCI controllers. It looks like a possible chipset driver issue, which is new for me—though I’ve seen discussions about newer drivers causing similar problems. A generic Bluetooth adapter is also reporting it’s stopped because of reported issues. My specs are: Windows 11 Education 24H2, 64-bit Ryzen 5 7600X, NZXT Kraken RGB Elite Corsair, RGB White DDR5 32GB (2x16), CL30 6000, BIOS default settings. I’m cautious about changes, especially with this minor instability. ASUS ROG-Strix b650-a, gaming Wi-Fi, M.2 NVMe Corsair RM750, and Crucial P3 Plus SSD 2TB. Thanks for your help!

Get the AMD drivers for your CPU. Also, install the NVIDIA app and update drivers for your 4060.

I found some useful tips by checking HWInfo logs. Having a second monitor would help, or you could log to a file. Begin by running the game that's running slowly—if nothing shows up, use FurMark with CPU and SSD tests to identify the problem. Check voltages, power caps, and throttling during stutters. I noticed odd limits like 120W on a 225W GPU or 11V on a 12V rail, plus slow SSD responses in Task Manager. The GPU would spike hotspots and hit thermal limits without clear reason. These observations might guide your troubleshooting.
