It seems your system experiences high CPU usage and brief freezes when launching programs. This is unusual for your build, so you might want to investigate further. The specs look correct, but since it's new, consider checking thermal management, updating drivers, or monitoring resource usage. Let me know if you need more guidance.

All required software has been installed. The operating system was not freshly installed; it was already present on the system.

Latest setup, NVIDIA software, Steam, malware protection scan, various games. So far, nothing significant added to the system, just been using it for a few weeks.

Did you review CrystalDiskInfo to assess the HDD condition? It appears there may be a storage issue or performance limitation... Was this device part of an earlier functional configuration or was it bought specifically for your current setup? Trying to figure out its status before it joined your new system... If all drivers were recently updated, it likely falls under the 'Fresh Install' you carried out.
