Hello everyone! I’m facing a problem where my PC crashes unexpectedly and restarts itself right after. I’ve reinstalled Windows, updated all drivers, and fixed the BIOS. The event logger is showing different APIC IDs: 28 and 29. Intel Ethernet controller i225-v is working initially, but Memtest86 didn’t cause issues before. I disabled PBO and ran RAM in D.O.C.P mode, which helped temporarily. However, today it stopped working again—without D.O.C.P. at 3200MHz it crashes, and with it it boots. My system specs are: a Ryzen 9 3900X, HyperX Fury DDR4 3200MHz, RTX 3070, ASUS RTX 3070 graphics, Corsair Rmx 750W, SSD and HDD from Seagate. All components are near their maximum age except the PSU, which is from an old machine (about five years). Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m nearing the end of my knowledge.

All your previous efforts suggest a hardware problem, possibly involving the RAM or motherboard. Would you like to use another RAM module? Have you checked the individual RAM slots and modules?

Not yet, but I’ll attempt it tomorrow. Running it in single channel mode might help locate the issue more easily. Unfortunately, I don’t have any other RAM available at the moment.

I made a minor adjustment and tested each RAM module individually. The problem remains, only one sticks lasts longer than the others. Three of them fail immediately after booting into Windows, though one holds out a little longer before crashing. I’m currently using this RAM stick and have removed one of my HDDs, which had a yellow warning mark—maybe that resolves the issue.

Latest update: I disconnected the HDD, but it’s still running and has the APIC ID problem 27 with the Intel Ethernet controller. Downloading games is very slow. Tomorrow I’ll try adding the other RAM sticks to check if it works then. Edited November 3, 2022 by Skodakenner

You're experiencing the same problem. Changing from a 5Gig port to a 2Gig port on your router hasn't resolved the issue. Have you checked anything else?
