My friends' laptop began freezing unexpectedly, often forcing a shutdown via the power button. It's an older ASUS F553M with a Samsung SSD. I checked Samsung Magician and saw only 2.1TB written, but after benchmarking it ran at half speed due to SATA 2 connection. No unusual programs were found, and Windows updates took hours because of the slow CPU. Temperatures stayed around 77°C during maximum load. After resetting Windows via recovery and keeping personal files, the freezing persisted. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
