I recently upgraded my PC from a basic 2-core system to a Ryzen 3 2200G setup featuring a Gigabyte A320M-S2H (bios version F58d), 8GB of DDR4 at 2133MHz, and a 500W power supply. Initially, I kept the same motherboard and CPU, using my existing RAM. At first, the machine would shut down unexpectedly several times daily—sometimes five or more per day—with no more than an hour passing between each incident. The screen would freeze completely, appearing black in AnyDesk, yet the system seemed to stay on. Eventually, I upgraded the PSU to a higher-wattage model and added a Kingston 240GB SATA SSD with a 160GB HDD for storage. The motherboard and CPU remained unchanged, and the RAM stayed from my previous setup.

I tried a Chieftec PSU and then an APC Smart UPS 900, which reduced the frequency of freezes to just once per day. After that, I installed a GT210 power supply, but it had little impact on the issue. The problem persisted, occurring multiple times over several days. Two other PCs on the same circuit worked perfectly, while one temporarily replaced the Ryzen 3 with an i5 6402P and 16GB RAM without any issues.

I suspect the motherboard might be experiencing power-related problems despite having a UPS, possibly due to driver or hardware incompatibility. I've updated drivers and disabled core parking, but it didn't resolve the issue. I'm uncertain about other potential causes and am unsure what steps to take next. The two remaining PCs in the circuit are functioning normally, which makes me think the problem lies elsewhere—possibly with another component or a shared power path.

It might be those options, though checking the HDD directly could also reveal simple issues using SMART tools (like gSmartControl) to detect errors or warnings.
