Hi, over the last month I've faced several stuttering episodes (?) both in gaming and everyday tasks like chatting on Discord or using Chrome. Interestingly, it happens less during more demanding games (like Forspoken or Hellblade) but frequently in LoL when the frame rate drops to 144fps or below for a few seconds. I own a 1TB SSD, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 12,400 at 1440p, and everything seems fine. I've reformatted, cleaned, and reinstalled Windows 11—no issues there. The stuttering isn't constant and feels unusual. Using MSI AfterBurner revealed that the GPU voltage drops to zero briefly during stutters. It doesn’t seem to occur when the PC is under stress. I’ve followed some fixes guides, disabled Xbox GameBar, etc., but nothing works. I’m considering checking the paging file and would appreciate any advice. P.S. I hope my post was in the right place; sorry if it wasn’t. A friend suggested asking on this forum—I’m not very familiar with it. Thanks.

Have you considered swapping out your power connectors for the GPU and checking the GPU settings? Updating your BIOS could also help. This is the right place for this advice.

One of the methods people use online is to verify your monitor's refresh rate settings, since adjusting it can be necessary before it operates at its maximum performance.

I faced a comparable issue before, involving a failed drive. Running a diagnostic tool would help.

I refreshed my profile details and moved to a dual channel setup (previously just one). Stuttering remains. I'm still running at 60Hz even though my monitor supports 165Hz. Raising the frequency helps with AAA titles but causes issues in LoL.

You can verify whether the games recognize the screen, as some titles configure their display settings to specific resolutions and refresh rates.
