Hello, I recently assembled a new PC a few weeks back, and it’s still only about two weeks old. It occasionally crashes randomly, especially when streaming but mostly during gameplay. Previously, I experienced blue screen issues, but they’ve been resolved in the past couple of days, so I’m hopeful that’s fixed now. When it crashes, my experience is freezing all four monitors while playing games or watching YouTube. The audio keeps playing for around a minute before distortion begins. After about 30 seconds to an hour, the music stops completely. I never see a blue screen, and I have to manually shut it down using the front case button. I’ve tried running memory diagnostics last week, suspecting a RAM issue, which I replaced. Updated all drivers, changed the RAM profile (EXPO 1 vs EXPO 2), checked my PSU capacity with Microcenter, and they confirmed it’s sufficient. The system runs Windows 10 Pro, BIOS version 1616, with an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, Noctua NH-D15 cooler, and a PowerSpec 750W 80 Plus Bronze PSU. My GPU is an ASRock Phantom Gaming D OC Radeon RX 6900 XT (16GB), and I’m using a Samsung 980 Pro 120GB SSD with G.Skill Flare X5 RAM (32GB).

Sorry I don't have a solution, but just wanted to remind you about the keyboard shortcut for resetting the GPU: [Win]+[Ctrl]+[Shift]+B. I can't predict how it would work after a freeze—maybe it helps or doesn't. Perhaps it could prevent a full system restart, though that seems unlikely. If not, I recommend checking related metrics like temperatures, loads, and usage stats using tools such as HWinfo64. I'm mainly focused on GPU-related issues right now.

The GPU worked fine on your previous PC. Upgrading to AM5 might affect performance, but it depends on the model and compatibility.

Not necessarily. I don't have much evidence to back up my claims. I haven't really faced something like what you're describing before. Still, I found a post that seems to fit your scenario: https://forums. It appears the lighting control app might be the issue, which is quite unusual but worth testing by turning off such features during tests.

I’ll power off my Logitech G Hub at startup and test it for a few days. I’ll reach out again (or sooner if the problem continues). My preferences are stored on my mouse, which means I might not need it if that’s the root cause.

I haven't experienced the freezing issue over the past two days, not even after an eight-hour session. Today I encountered a blue screen. Attached are photos and the Event Viewer data. - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System><ProviderName="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="331c3b3a-2005-44c2-ac5e-77220c37d6b4"> </System> <EventID>41</EventID> <Version>8</Version> <Level>1</Level> <Task>63</Task> <Opcode>0</Opcode> <Keywords>0x8000400000000002</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2023-07-06T22:46:37.4451968Z"> <EventRecordID>7477</EventRecordID> <Correlation></Correlation> <ExecutionProcessID>4</ExecutionProcessID> <ThreadID>8</ThreadID> <Channel>System</Channel> <Computer>DESKTOP-2QKTETC</Computer> <SecurityUserID>S-1-5-18</SecurityUserID> </System> - <EventData><DataName="BugcheckCode">313</DataName><DataName="BugcheckParameter1">0x3</DataName><DataName="BugcheckParameter2">0xfffffb8da7af6e00</DataName><DataName="BugcheckParameter3">0xfffffb8da7af6d58</DataName><DataName="BugcheckParameter4">0x0</DataName><DataName="SleepInProgress">0</DataName><DataName="PowerButtonTimestamp">0</DataName><DataName="BootAppStatus">0</DataName><DataName="Checkpoint">0</DataName><DataName="ConnectedStandbyInProgress">false</DataName></EventData>

I encounter various results when looking up information...hard to pinpoint exactly what you need. Many references mention RAM problems, though memory tests were already run. There are also hints about the PSU possibly contributing to event 41, so that might be worth investigating next. Beyond that, it would seem posts often disappear quickly here, making it risky to assume someone else will help. I might even suggest starting a new thread about the BSOD as a separate issue since it appears to be consistent.

I visited microcenter and explained all my issues. They replaced my motherboard and processor to check if that would resolve the problem, and it seems everything is working now. It's been a week with no crashes or blue screens. Thank you for your assistance. I'm still unsure exactly which component was faulty, but it appears to be one of those cases.
