I have an Acer XC-605 and I'm attempting to set up Android TV on it. It keeps restarting even though Windows 10 is running smoothly. When I try to install Android TV (based on a modified version of Android x-86), it launches with options for live installation or setup, but instead of proceeding through the OS wizard, it restarts back into Windows. This prevents me from configuring storage or partitions needed for the installation. I'm unsure if this issue is unique to Android x-86 or affects other operating systems, so I plan to try installing Ubuntu tomorrow and see if the same problem occurs.

Sure, I can attempt it using a VM. It’s possible you haven’t installed it yet.

Turn off execution protection whenever you install Linux, or it will stop completing the installation.

I successfully set up Ubuntu without any problems, which suggests the installer worked fine. Finding a compatible fork for Android TV x86 seems tricky right now.
