I assembled a new PC on Friday with an RTX 3070 and a Corsair TX750M PSU from my old setup. I didn’t expect needing two 8-pin EPS12V cables for the motherboard, so after some Googling it looked okay to use one temporarily until I got a replacement PSU. It performed well for five hours before freezing and failing to boot Windows, enter BIOS, or show any display output. All fans ran at full speed when powered on, the motherboard and GPU lights functioned normally, but the DRAM light flashed orange. I removed the GPU, reinserted RAM, used a single RAM stick in one slot instead of two, and handled the 8-pin and 24-pin cables on the motherboard, yet the problem persisted. Specs: Intel Core i5-13600K Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black, Asus TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5200 CL38, Kingston KC3000 2.048 TB, Gigabyte AORUS MASTER, GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB Corsair TX750M Gold 750W, 80+ Gold. The PSU is still operational and I’m currently running it on my previous build while discussing this issue.

You haven't reset the BIOS yet, and an XMP profile might conflict with it.

According to the manual, clearing CMOS requires shorting the pins labeled 13 on this diagram. Ensure the computer is off during the shorting process.

It could also stem from a previous BIOS upgrade; consider refreshing it.

No need to worry, the bios wasn't reset. XMP was already active, so you can safely re-enable it if needed later.

I disabled the pins and then took out the CMOS battery. The computer reboots when turned on, but there’s nothing showing up on the screen when linked to the GPU or motherboard. I’m not sure what to do next.

It turned out the CPU was the problem, stopping unexpectedly. I encountered the same issue on a different motherboard and power supply unit. After replacing it, the new one is working perfectly now. Apologies for the delayed response—I wanted to share this update.
