Hey there! I see you're experiencing high RAM usage even when you're not using heavy apps. Since you're new, it's good to start with standard settings first. You might want to keep your RAM at 32GB unless you notice further strain. If you plan to upgrade, adding more sticks could help, but make sure the motherboard supports it and you have enough slots. Your current setup looks solid, just monitor usage closely. Let me know if you need tips on checking or adjusting settings!

It looks like you're noticing that Windows only offers around 16 gigabytes of storage, which seems quite limited compared to other systems. I think checking your CPU usage in Chrome might help identify if resource consumption is the problem.

It seems typical for me. With 16GB RAM, the more Windows runs, the higher it consumes. Check the "Processes" section and tap the RAM icon once or twice to view app usage levels, then remove any unnecessary applications.

I’ve got plenty of RAM, yet it feels slow—about 25GB used. It’s typical, but Chrome might still be a bit heavy.

The stats are displayed using Chrome, Canva, and Slack open—should’ve included that extra step. Upgrading to 64GB would be a good idea, and @KidKid, feel free to give it a shot too!

Welcome to the discussions! It seems the RAM appears almost fully utilized in that image you mentioned, yet it still shows 50% usage. When performance issues like freezing or lag occur, restarting explorer.exe is a quick fix—just open Task Manager and click the Windows Explorer button at the bottom of the processes list (or press Win+E to open it). Alternatively, running DISM/SFC might resolve the problem.

Essentially yes, Chrome can quickly consume half your RAM even with only a few windows running. Enjoy the updated browsing experience!

I have a 64GB drive, but the PC has been running for five hours. Memory usage is currently at 24%, which means only about 16GB are active while the rest sits idle. I use background services like Discord and Armory Crate, but my main issue is the browser. It becomes sluggish after prolonged use. Just need to close it and restart so it frees up memory.

Edge seems to perform better with RAM compared to Chrome. They also offer a tab-sleeping option to conserve system resources. Consider trying Microsoft Edge to check for any memory-related problems.
