Hi, I’m just starting out with Ryzen and wanted to know if there’s a simple solution. I bought the Vengeance LPX kit for $3600 and after enabling DOCP in BIOS it wouldn’t show the reset message. I haven’t tried changing the voltage yet, but I’m not sure what else to do unless necessary. -Ryzen 5 2600 -Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb 3600 -ASUS B450-f gaming

You're experiencing the same problem with your Ryzen 5 3600 setup on the ASUS B550-F Gaming. Despite updating the chipset and BIOS, the DOCP boot process still stalls on RAM and requires resetting the CMOS. Additionally, you're seeing an error in the built-in Memtest for the Ryzen DRAM Calculator, specifically with MEMbench: Memtest. It seems there might be an issue with the RAM kit itself or a compatibility concern. You plan to adjust the CPU cooler slightly before attempting another boot, and if that doesn't resolve it, you'll need to further troubleshoot.

It seems the cooler might be relevant, but pin pressure doesn't typically affect non-LGA boards much.

It doesn’t seem like the cooler was the issue. I tested with a large heatsink and eventually figured out the problem. My CPU seems faulty because it runs smoothly at 3600Mhz, but when I adjust the FCLK to match, it won’t boot. The max I’ve managed is 1500Mhz on 1.1V SOC. I’m planning to bring it back to Microcenter and try a new 3600Mhz one. It doesn’t seem like the issue is just the CPU, especially since it only crashes at higher FCLK. Could this be related to something else besides the processor?

I adjusted the voltage to 1.4 and it now supports up to 3400, which is perfect—I don’t need to change it further. It’s way too complicated to handle shipping and returns anymore. This is definitely a major problem with the Ryzen 2000.

The Ryzen 2600 memory controller works best at 2933MHz. Going above that is essentially overclocking, great effort! A solid 466MHz overclock is achievable.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I attempted to increase the voltage, changed the slot configuration, and the system is now starting safely after multiple failed boot attempts. You might want to consider returning the motherboard and processor for further inspection.
