Hey everyone, occasionally when I play games, browse the web, or use Discord, my computer freezes for a few seconds to a minute. After that, everything seems to work again without any issues. It mostly happens when someone joins or leaves my Discord room, but it could just be a coincidence. I checked with Event Viewer and found a kernel event error code 28 each time this occurs. This seems linked to the USB connections—when I disconnect and reconnect peripherals, the error appears. However, even with my Astro A50 and Hyper X Quadcast, these errors still happen. I’m not sure if they cause the freeze or just appear alongside them. My PC specs are: GPU Asus Strix 3080, CPU i9 13900K, MOBO Asus z790-e, RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 64GB, 6400MHz, power supply Corsair Shift Series 1000W NVME, and OS Windows 10 Pro. I’ve tried upgrading the PSU, RAM, motherboard, and even performed a full Windows reinstall, but nothing works. It’s been happening for a while now, and it’s really frustrating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely, I understand. It's a bit alarming when things start acting up. I'd suggest taking a break from using the headset and mic for a day—maybe switch to Discord on your phone instead. Afterward, try restarting your computer and observe if the issue recurs. Wishing you smooth sailing!

I just experimented with power settings, so I’ll check if freezing happens later today. If it does, I’ll test running my PC without the headset or microphone for a couple days to see if that triggers another freeze.
