I was building a 3d model in Blender while watching YouTube tutorials. After closing Blender, Chrome opened and showed me odd RAM info. My system feels very slow and claims I still have 16GB, but it doesn’t match what I see. I’m trying to figure out what’s going on without buying new RAM unless it’s a straightforward fix.

I’d check which programs are consuming all your RAM. Consider removing unnecessary startup apps and restarting the computer to determine if it resolves the problem. If that doesn’t help, try updating drivers or running a memory test.

The Chrome process consuming excessive RAM is concerning, and I'm unsure how to proceed. For memory testing, I'd suggest using MemTest86 as a reliable option.

This matter isn't related to memory stability. The issue lies with the Windows 8/8.1/10/11 task manager providing incorrect data in certain<|pad|>, cases.

Their machine runs slower than usual, so they thought memory was the problem. Even if they were wrong, it’s wise to check stability for certainty. Nonetheless, if memory is the cause, the Windows usage reporting during the issue isn’t the root of the concern.
