It began two months back when my Windows 10 slowed down. Programs took longer to open and the startup felt sluggish. The internet slowed too, so I switched to Windows 7. My uncle helped me install it because I wasn’t confident. Once it was done, everything ran smoothly—my laptop felt much snappier. I brought it home and… well, things took a turn. When I tried to connect to Wi-Fi, the screen froze. I entered my password, and it loaded slowly before suddenly freezing. I unplugged the power, restarted, but the issue repeated.

I checked my phone for advice, but nothing worked for three days. Then I removed the antivirus and everything improved. I tried disconnecting from Wi-Fi, but whenever I clicked the disconnect button, it would freeze again. Eventually, I deleted the antivirus and it worked perfectly. I was relieved.

But then came another problem. After connecting back to Wi-Fi, everything seemed fine—until I downloaded a large file (about 2GB). The download stopped abruptly, and I saw a yellow triangle appear. This happened before, but I thought it would pass. A few minutes later, the connection reset again. After ten minutes, I tried moving my mouse and it froze once more. I unplugged the power, turned it back on, and managed to download the file again. The yellow triangle appeared once more, but this time my PC didn’t freeze. I clicked troubleshoot, and after about thirty seconds, a message said my issue was resolved.

I tried downloading the file again, and it worked—yet the yellow triangle showed up once more. Eventually, the problem kept coming, even when I was on YouTube or just browsing the web. It became increasingly frustrating. My internet speed dropped drastically: from 500kbps to just 5mbps in minutes. Downloads failed repeatedly. I watched TV shows and felt like I couldn’t find a solution. I deleted cache and history, but it only helped temporarily.

Recently, my laptop stayed on all night, even when I opened it. The screen would go black, and the power button stopped working. My internet speed was terrible—30 minutes of 500kbps turned into 5mbps, then downloads failed completely. I tried to check if the issue was due to poor Wi-Fi, but it was definitely my laptop. I couldn’t figure out what to do next, and the problem kept getting worse.

Now, I realized there were many other issues that had arisen since then. Whenever I powered off my laptop, it would stay on, like it wasn’t doing anything. The screen would appear black forever. I tried troubleshooting steps, but nothing stuck. Eventually, I deleted everything and hoped for a fix. But the problem returned soon after, just a bit less often.

Now, I’m facing bigger challenges. My laptop never turns off properly. Even when I closed it, the screen remained dark. The power button was useless. My internet connection kept freezing, especially when I was streaming or searching online. It felt like something was seriously wrong. I tried to delete cache and history, but nothing changed. The situation was becoming more serious.

The troubleshooting message mentioned a possible access point issue, but I’m not using the internet much anymore. If it matters for you, I’ll take a screenshot and send it over. Until then, I’m stuck trying to figure this out.
