Hi, your wife's PC seems to have become quite sluggish recently. The task manager now takes about 20 seconds to open, and everything appears normal otherwise. The SSD health check shows good results, CPU temperatures are in the 30s. I'm not sure what else might be slowing it down suddenly. The system is running the latest version of Windows 10. Any suggestions or assistance would be really helpful.
Hello, when this occurs, my first step is to press CTRL-ALT-DEL and open Task Manager. In the manager, navigate to the left panel and select Startup Apps. Select the one listed for Windoze. At the top of the columns, choose Status to filter programs into Enabled or Disabled. This helps identify background apps that are active. I review the enabled list and adjust any unnecessary ones. Right now, there are 20 software entries, but I’ve reduced it to just four. The idea is that disabled items are present but not running constantly, saving resources. I use MS One Drive as a backup but don’t run it daily, so it’s excluded from the list. Of course, I might be mistaken, but this matches what was explained. Stay safe and good luck!
