CPU model: 10900k OC 5GHz. RAM setup: four 16GB Vengeance RGB PRO chips at 3200MHz XMP. Motherboard: ASUS Strix Z490-E with latest BIOS. The problem I’m facing is that after adding two extra RAM modules, my system became unstable. Once it stabilized again, I had to raise the DRAM voltage to 1.43V. I did some research and think my RAM is B-Die, so it should be fine up to 1.5V, though I’m not sure. I experimented with VCCIO and System Agent voltages using the recommended XMP 1 setting (1.35V), but nothing helped. I started at 1.40V on both VCCIO and SA, then lowered gradually down to 1.15V, but no adjustment fixed the issue. I’m not very familiar with RAM timing or overclocking, but I’m unsure if tweaking the RAM settings would resolve this. Could someone assist me with this? I’m not sure where to begin.
Confirming the exact match of both the kit and model numbers on the labels is essential.
By taking out the two new sticks, everything becomes stable again with just two sticks left
Consider removing those components and operating solely with the two new sticks. Or, place your two current sticks into the alternate slot.
