Hey there, I'm trying to decide on the RAM for my new build (switching from an i5-4690K to a 5600X). I'm torn between two options: the G.Skill Trident Z Neo 4x8GB at 3600MHz and the Trident Z RGB 4x8GB at 3200MHz. I'm not sure how the speed differences will impact my performance, so I need some guidance. I've heard that the 5600X supports up to 3200MHz memory, but does that make the 3600MHz model unnecessary? For now, it's mostly about looks—Neo is a clear winner—but I want to optimize my setup. Thanks!

3200 represents AMD's approved memory rate. Overclocking means pushing past the factory limits. Zen 2 typically handles 3600 well most of the time, while Zen 3 performs better if the board quality is good. For memory with Ryzen, focus on latency (especially when speeds exceed 3200) — higher frequency divided by CAS latency (CL) yields better results. If latency remains unchanged, opt for a higher frequency.
