Hello everyone, I’m working on upgrading my setup to support dual boot and a bigger SSD. Right now I have Windows 10 running on a 120GB SSD. The idea is to swap in a 500GB SSD so I can switch between Windows and Linux. I’m worried about the licensing—will re-installing Windows on a different drive affect my rights? My license is an OEM Windows 8 that was upgraded to Windows 10, and I’m not sure if that changes things. Let me know what I should do next! Thanks!

The license ties to your mobile device and should work without issues; ignore any setup activation steps.

Your Windows 10 licenses are connected to your Microsoft account, and also to MOBO with OEM licenses. If you log in using a Microsoft account during the installation, they will remain active after the new setup.
