Switching GPU from AMD to Intel (old one failed)
Hi! My AMD RX660 seems to have stopped working, likely due to a bad new PSU I purchased or trying to keep the older PSU running longer than necessary. After reviewing my budget options, I chose to buy the Arc B580. The problem is that I won’t be able to clean the old AMD GPU drivers until I install the B580, because with the RX6600 I can no longer see an image on the display. Will this cause any trouble? After swapping the GPU, my first step would be to remove the old drivers using DDU and install the Intel ones. Thanks in advance!

I’m also considering upgrading the motherboard to an Asus TUF Gaming B550 Plus or a MSI B550-A Pro, since I worry my current board might have been affected by past issues and I don’t want to risk damaging the new parts (CPU, RAM, GPU, PSU, and possibly one of the SSDs). It’s also about 7 years old, so an upgrade seems like a good idea.
Everything should be fine as recorded. Remove the old AMD drivers using DDU after starting the system with the new B580. After restarting (following the course of cleaning) just install the updated drivers from Intel. Once the new GPU is installed, you'll be able to check if there are any motherboard problems.
How were you able to determine this was a graphics card problem?

Even if the motherboard is defective, it shouldn’t harm the new GPU or other parts, and it would be reasonable to attempt the B580 with it. The new PSU (Core Reactor II) just came today, so I feel confident about that. It’s been a complicated journey. I began by trying to install the new RAM at 3200Hz without updating the BIOS and paired it with the old 2600 CPU. Then I switched to a new PSU that seemed faulty and faced black screens afterward.
