Obtain the same setup you had before the upgrade. Consider using an app like Macrium Free to capture your Win7 disk, then move your current Win7 installation to Windows 10. After activation, you’ll receive a digital license for Windows 10 on that machine. If desired, you can perform a clean install of Windows 10.
In Basic and Home editions of Windows 7, you move to Windows 10 Home. For Professional and Ultimate versions, you receive Windows 10 Pro.
