I recently purchased an NVMe M.2 SSD for my computer and want to ensure it retains all the standard Windows settings. I’m considering moving the existing C drive contents to the new device without reformatting. Is there a method to achieve this?

It seems you're looking to duplicate your current operating system drive to a new one. There are various cloning tools available. If your new NVMe is from Samsung, they offer a free data migration service that handles the process smoothly and copies all data without issues. You'll need to adjust the BIOS settings to set the correct boot order and optionally modify the drive letter assignment.

The letter isn't important, but yes. It's a Samsung 990 pro, thank you very much.
