I possess a samsung 27-inch curved screen with built-in speakers, display ports, and HDMI on the back. The HDMI connection links to an asus 24-inch model featuring DVI/VGA and HDMI, but the asus display lacks speaker support in NVIDIA software. I cannot select the samsung monitor. Please find the attached file.

The system's default sound source is your headphones, not the NVIDIA digital output.

You can also adjust the outputs by using the volume mixer.

The dropdown refers to choosing the HDMI destination. The DisplayPort 3 entry is marked as Samsung, which aligns with the Nvidia setting in the audio options. Turning that on should direct the signal accordingly.
