Switch to Windows 11?
Hello, are you considering upgrading to Windows 11 yet? I’ve heard performance might be lower compared to Windows 10. If not, what other factors should you think about before making the change? I’m using Windows 11 on a laptop with a Ryzen CPU and also running another OS on my other machine—so it’s a bit confusing. Thanks for your advice!
You're experiencing smooth performance with Windows 11 on your Core i7 6850k / x99 system. It seems to run faster than Windows 10 on the same hardware... what matters is how each person feels about it. Give Windows 11 a try and see what you think!
Your Ryzen 5600X is functioning properly with no problems detected.
Installing bare metal from the boot remains functional even on non-compliant hardware. It doesn't work with a desktop upgrade. I performed this for each Windows 11 release (like 22H2), and I have a TPM 2.0 module with Secure Boot activated. The issue is mainly due to an outdated CPU. BlackDragon
The setup proceeds as expected without changing any files or registry settings on a desktop. I receive all updates except the Windows 11 upgrade through Windows Update.
