Switch to AM5 version instead of AM4
Switch to AM5 version instead of AM4
Hello everyone, I currently own a 5800X on an Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (likely x570). I recently purchased a Sapphire Nitro+ 9070 XT, but I've noticed my CPU performance is limited in many situations, even when running at 4K. I'm considering an upgrade to AM5, specifically the 9800X3D Gigabyte Aorus Elite WiFi 7 2 x 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 CL30. Is this AM5 configuration suitable for a 1022 euro budget? Should I think about replacing the motherboard or RAM instead? Perhaps a 650 chipset would be better. My cooling solution is an Arctic Freezer ii 360, and my power supply is a Corsair 1000W with two NVMe drives (no RAID). Another question: do you have any advice on downsizing my case in the future to a Lian Li Ae mATX? Also, I'm uncertain if my current CPU cooler and GPU would fit on an A3 case. Do you have any experience with this setup? I'm located in the Netherlands for price comparisons. Thank you for your help!
