I've observed a problem with my laptop during full screen gameplay, especially for titles like League of Legends, Valorant, and GTA V. Whenever I switch tabs using alt+tab, the screen briefly goes black for a short duration and sometimes flashes before transitioning. I checked my display settings, which are set to 1920x1080 at 240Hz. My system specs include an Intel Nuc X15 CPU, i7-11800H, RTX 3060, and 32GB RAM. The issue might be related to display driver configuration or background processes. Trying a windowed mode helped temporarily, but my FPS dropped noticeably. Please let me know if you have any further details.

It's completely typical for fullscreen games.

To the extent I understand, it depends on the monitor and how fast it updates when switching settings. I can share that I've felt this effect to different levels throughout my gaming sessions from the 90s onward.

I've faced a similar issue with high-resolution scaling and varying aspect ratios. It's interesting that everything was working at native settings. Thanks for the feedback—it means a lot!

Borderless fullscreen performs better when you frequently use alt-tab. It tends to be more resource-heavy, while fullscreen exclusive is lighter but harder to switch tabs. Unfortunately, fullscreen exclusive was removed in Direct X 12. If a game supports Direct X 11, I usually choose fullscreen exclusive just for that reason. I don’t require ray tracing.

I've reinstalled Windows and all drivers are functioning smoothly. Alt + Tab responds quickly and works just fine now. It's unclear what caused the problem, but it likely involved a software issue.
