Switch priorities between two networks on a PC with dual broadband services.
Note - both Ethernet cables are plugged into the motherboard, giving me two ports. On my Asus X79-DELUX (X79 LGA 2011), the gold port is the one I prefer for priority use. This line should handle web browsing, online gaming, and streaming services like Steam without issues. The blue port is reserved for background tasks. For streaming purposes, I connect via BT for faster uploads to platforms such as Twitch, while using TalkTalk for gaming. I’ve already set up an IP on OBS, so no conflicts there unless the setup was misconfigured. Using Speedtest, I see BT and TalkTalk switching based on active connections. When I try to prioritize TalkTalk with priority level 5, it works well, but sometimes my stream drops and reconnects during gameplay. I’m unsure what’s happening and hope someone can help me figure this out.
This task isn't running on Windows yet—consider a more sophisticated configuration with routing options or a load-balanced router. Have you explored Speedify?
