I’m back home with improved internet speed now. The router runs only on 2.4GHz and is tucked away in the closet. My room is upstairs, so I experience weak signals on my PS4 and Apple TV. There’s a cat 6 cable from the router to my computer. What’s the best way to connect everything through that single cable?

You should have a switch. To ensure long-term compatibility, use a gigabit connection.

Consider placing a switch in your bedroom first, then connect your PS4 and Apple TV.

Certainly just a toggle would suffice—a router would require extra setup and might face double NAT problems. For this scenario, nothing complicated is needed (managed options or PoE aren't necessary). I recommend something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A121WN6/ For Wi-Fi, you could use that switch and later buy a wireless access point such as Ubiquti's UniFi AP AC Pro.
