Consider activation status before proceeding. Your product key confirms ownership, but activation determines functionality.

You wouldn't turn it on if you have an alternative option available.

Well, if you possess the product key, then why not use it? With the deactivated version of Windows, you're restricted to certain personalization options and will see a watermark in the bottom left corner of the screen across various games and applications. By having the product key, you bypass these restrictions since it's linked to your hardware. EDIT: If you already have the product key, why not just activate it then—it's simple and straightforward!

Consider your preference—mud offers earthy taste, while chocolate provides sweet indulgence. Choose based on what you enjoy most.

windows keys are dirt cheap to buy, no reason not to activate it esp if you already have one.

It seems you're suggesting staying off the grid right now. I've heard that Windows keys could become valuable in the future, like Bitcoin. Selling them to a miner might make you incredibly wealthy quickly! (Turn on your computer, be clever)

After about a year, strange issues begin to occur—either a black screen or the inability to click left or right. Microsoft has confirmed this behavior.
