Hello everyone, I’m facing a bit of an issue with my PC. It seems I accidentally swapped my GPU while the system was in sleep mode, and now it won’t display anything. The situation unfolded this way: I had an old GTX 210 and thought it would be a good test. Not realizing the PC was only in sleep, I moved the GTX 1080 into its PCIe slot. When I tried to power it on, the system started but didn’t show any video output. Initially, I assumed the 210 was faulty, so I switched back to the 1080, but that didn’t help. During boot, the system behaved normally—CPU fan slowed, GPU fans only started at first, and peripherals lit up—but the EZ-Debug-Led labeled “VGA glows solid white” (which usually means a GPU problem) and shows no signal to the monitor. I checked all cables, reseated the GPU multiple times, tested both GPUs on another machine (they worked), checked my power supply, tried a different motherboard with other cards, and even swapped in a new hard drive with fresh Windows. Still, no display. My specs are listed, and I’m pretty sure the issue lies in the PCIe slot or BIOS. My motherboard has only one PCIe port, and since I don’t have integrated graphics, I’m essentially blind except for the white VGA LED. I’m hoping someone can suggest a solution, aside from replacing the whole board—maybe the CPU is involved too. Thanks in advance!

Rest, particularly specific forms of S sleep, might prevent PCIe Power from shutting down. There could be damaged connections to your chipset (in ideal scenarios) or the CPU (worst scenario).
