Swapping out one memory stick at a time
Swapping out one memory stick at a time
I suspect my memory card is faulty. I've seen multiple BSOD error messages recently and only resolved the issue by swapping out one of my cards. Replacing it with another 8GB DDR4 3200 memory module from the same brand should work fine, allowing dual-channel operation without affecting performance. You won't need two sticks if one remains functional.
It varies. Depending on your setup you might need a single 8GB module with whatever CL speed it supports—there are many factors to consider when pairing RAM. If it doesn’t match your current 3200mhz CL timing, you’d have to adjust both speed and timing to the slower option. It’s rare for RAM to completely fail to work together, but one might slow down the other if they don’t match.
