CPU model: Ryzen 7600X. Motherboard: TUF Gaming B650-E WiFi (previous use). GPU: Tuf Gaming Rtx 3080. RAM: Two sets of teamgroup TED58g4800C40BK6, 8GB DdR5 4800 (1Rx16), CL40-40-40-77 1.1v. Purchased together from the same vendor; arrived simultaneously with serial numbers ending in 007, 008, and 013/014. When power is applied, the yellow Dram indicator stays on and prevents operation. Issue arose when pressing power—no progress. Replaced a fan because it wasn’t spinning; now it works without help. After the Dram light turned orange during boot, the system failed to start. I performed several fixes: fully powering off and unplugging the PC, rewiring everything, reseating the CPU, and booting with two RAM sticks instead of four in slots 2/4 (channel 1). The first attempt succeeded once but failed again. Tested a new identical motherboard; it worked once with two sticks but failed on the second try for consistency. CMOS cleared.

Cmos cleared all four sticks successfully without needing the GPU in the BIOS. I shut it down and reinserted the GPU into the top slow slot, which returned to orange. Disabling the BIOS removed the Cmos clear, so the GPU was placed in the bottom slot again. I then reinserted the battery before the system restarted. The green lights went to BIOS but failed to load, displaying an orange Dram light. Edited July 21, 2024 by B1-acre.

The term "fan" likely refers to a heatsink in this context. Excessive force during installation could cause issues similar to these.

The fan should be positioned where the bracket grips the board or the cooler moves toward the bracket and CPU.

It seems you're asking about a warning message. Pressing F1 might help clarify details about the fan's location and connection.

The original unit shown was the one with the CPU fan connected to the CPU fan header. There were no screws—just two wire clips. I didn’t take off the cooler until I tried the new motherboard because of the problem. After the F1 screen, I’ve managed to open once since this began. I plan to try a restart now.
