Required system: 64-bit Windows 7 CPU (Intel), 8GB RAM, 40GB HDD, nVidia GeForce GTX 660, 2GB GPU, ATI Radeon HD 7850, DX 11 compatible, online connection 512KBPS+.

Alternative setup: 64-bit Windows 10 CPU (Intel), 16GB RAM, 40GB HDD, nVidia GeForce GTX 970, 4GB GPU, AMD Radeon R9 290, DX 11.1 compatible, online connection 512KBPS+.

Question: What configurations can you use? You can be sure it works if you match these specs.

The real issue is this: the sixth generation wasn’t even around when they began building it, and they’re dumping the minimum requirements? That’s just nonsense. EA, fix this. I doubt even my old rig can handle it.

We're really questioning why we're fussing over system specs again? They don't matter. As long as you have an HT3, you should be okay. Even 1155 managed to run BF4 perfectly.

What are you talking about? That EA guy is crazy. They don’t care about PC gaming, or maybe they meant ‘best for extreme settings’—or they messed up. Later I realized I’m really upset because I love Battlefield and won’t be able to play it with my 860m.

Seemingly simple rules, but they feel overly complicated.

16GB RAM Witcher 3 is the most demanding title, but it only requires 8GB. Why does EA make this?

EA ignores PC gaming despite years of work on BF ON PC for PC, pushing back NFS and building a solid engine. Their focus isn’t on optimizing for PC gaming. If they improve their first-person shooters for PC, it could matter. But right now, their priorities seem misplaced. They’re not really concerned with the optimization of games on PC.

Building your own PC would let you use it, a 970 model is fine.
