Hey, I see your issue. You have an ASUS M4n68t-M LE V2 with 8GB RAM installed and only 4GB in use. The second RAM slot isn’t showing up, which is why you can’t upgrade. You don’t need to replace the whole setup—just swap the existing 4GB stick for a single 8GB stick in the working slot. Make sure the new stick matches the slot type and capacity. It should work if you follow these steps. Let me know if you need more details!

It should fit comfortably and offer an improvement. (Even with just one channel.) However, you'll experience roughly a 20% drop in performance versus dual-channel, since using only one RAM slot reduces memory bandwidth. Switching from 4GB is a solid upgrade, but going with two 4GB modules would be even better.

It's an older model, so the performance boost will be minimal. The manufacturer confirms it can handle up to 8GB of RAM, though users often use 16GB without issues, making an 8GB drive more than sufficient.

Are you sure? I’m not very familiar with Mobos, but from what you said, the device has an 8GB RAM (two sticks together). Can one stick store 8 gigabytes of memory?

I just searched and discovered several users using a board with 16GB RAM. Most were Kingston models, but it looks like this board supports them for some reason.
