Just follow the natural rhythm. Adjust your memory speed to 3266mhz manually and run a test. You should handle it smoothly until around 1.4v, then check how it performs at 1.35v.

I dislike needing to reset the BIOS with a screwdriver or touching the CMOS pins. At least I’ll be able to enter the BIOS after this overclock and receive the update?

And most boards have a fail safe. Will try user settings 3 times and post in safe mode. You shouldn't need to clear cmos every time there's an issue. You can also set the post counter more or less times than the stock 3. The process can take up to 180 seconds.
