I don’t have funds for new equipment. My wallet was lost during a purchase of servers.

DDoS only stops your connection, it doesn’t hand over those files to the attacker. In the worst scenario, your backup might not complete during the attack. If your server gets corrupted (like someone stealing the password), that becomes an issue. Applying encryption on the server and avoiding storing passwords there could provide some protection.

Despite the assault, my internet speed remained at 256 KBps (it should have been 1 GBps), and my phone indicated that an unauthorized person had accessed my server. The worst situation occurred during a Time Machine backup, using Windows Server 2016 across all my servers and router.

For restoring vital information from storage devices, using Clonezilla Live is recommended. This Linux-based system is built for data recovery purposes, making it ideal when you need to clone drives onto a USB stick.

If someone gains access to your server, you must reinstall it. The chance of malware being installed is quite high.

Despite the assault, my network performance was 256 KBps (it should be 1 GBps), and Windows indicated that an unauthorized party had accessed my server. The worst situation occurred during a Time Machine backup while I was using Windows Server 2016 across all my servers and router. I keep various files there—movies, music, documents, software, Steam library, backups. Personal and business papers remain on my PC.
