So recently I experienced some slow performance, so I ran a speed test on speedtest.net. It showed low connection speeds, and I also noticed my internet service provider changed. Since I’m using my ISP, my IP address is different from what speedtest.net displays. When I searched for my IP online, it listed my Mac address instead. My brother’s MacBook works fine. Could you help me figure this out? Also, I’m getting speeds higher than what my Ethernet port can handle—my motherboard supports 100 Mbps but I’m seeing 108 Mbps. I only have a wired connection, not Wi-Fi. Thanks!
It would be tough to assist if we can't grasp your request, which is why I inquired about the meaning of "doxed." Right now my idea is that you might be mixing up "doxx" with "DDoS," but even the latter wouldn't fit what you're explaining.
Even if it were accurate, it wouldn't connect to the problem you're explaining. Your post title suggests concern about being exposed.
