You're starting your first PC build and want reliable options for an i9-9900K. The MSI Z390 ACE is a solid choice, but consider checking other Intel models like the Z590 or Z690 for better performance and value. Gaming demands are good, so balance power and efficiency. Good luck!

What is your budget? Do you already possess the 9900K?

I have a bit of wiggle room with my budget, around $350 at most. I haven’t got the 9900k yet, but that’s what I’m aiming for. My gaming style leans toward a mix—some casual and some more intense. A middle ground would suit me best.

Would you like a Ryzen processor to help you save some cash? A Ryzen 3700(x) fits well with the 9900K and there are affordable high-end boards under $100. It’ll cut costs and provide solid upgrade potential later on.

Ryzen has its merits, but I tend to favor Intel since it’s familiar and I have more experience with it.
