I see the issue with the hat's edges. You'll need a larger image to clearly identify and edit those small blue lines.

Consider using the brush tool in Paint and choose it to apply your desired color.

If the character is on another layer, it would be simpler. Use magic wand to pick the open area, apply inverse selection, shrink until the dotted lines cover the blue edges, invert again, then delete until it disappears. If it's all on one layer, remove it by painting over or using a combination of both methods.

my top tools are magic wand, clone stamp, and perspective crop. i often set the history to a much higher value than the default—like 20 times more—because i tend to make a lot of mistakes.
