get the windows iso file, use Rufus to copy it, then burn the file onto a USB drive.

You can create an ISO from your Windows 7 disk by using tools like Rufus or Windows ISO Creator. Just select the drive and follow the instructions.

Generate an ISO from the disk by downloading the tool from the provided link and running it. Use a USB 2.0 drive; it took longer with a 3.0 drive but succeeded with a 2.0 one for about six dollars.
