I've been assembling PCs for a while now and haven't run into many problems. I built this one, faced a few hiccups but managed to get it online. Installed Windows 10, no Ethernet port, attempted driver installs but kept seeing a "Windows not supported" message. Restarted several times without any major issues. Reached out to ASUS live chat, they advised clearing the CMOS. I did that while the device was powered off—now it works fine—but when I try to exit BIOS, I get a black screen. Every time I power it back on, it just displays black. It's a ROG Strix Z690-E with an M.2 slot, 32GB RAM, and the RTX 3060. I suspect it might be related to MOBO.
I reordered everything again, but the same problem persists. Chose to return the MOBO and switch boards—it’s on the way. Could it be just the MOBO that’s faulty?
I faced the same problem with Ethernet drivers before. They worked initially but wouldn't update automatically. This wasn't an issue on my Asus motherboard, but it occurred with a Gigabyte board. I also updated the BIOS. My setup was a fresh Windows 10 installation. I downloaded drivers from another PC and still couldn't get them. I had to install them manually using the zip file. After that, I ran Windows Update for all patches. Now I'm using Windows 11 and haven't experienced the same Ethernet problems.
New board issue. Same error appears, but no details available. Suggested models: A6 or Ad. Picture upload needed. BIOS freeze reported. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
