Hello reader, Let me clarify if I shared this in the correct location. If not, no worries. Now focusing on the core problem. After TESV SE was released, I installed it right away (received the free version because I bought everything beforehand). Since then, launching it has been impossible: when I click PLAY, Steam shows a 'playing' icon next to the game name, stays there for a few seconds, then disappears and returns to idle mode without actually starting the game. I've looked up solutions online, including setting compatibility for the .exe file to Windows 7 and running it as administrator. Despite these attempts, nothing has worked. I’m okay without TESV SE since I got it for free, so it’s not a major loss. But since this issue started with TESV SE, another two games—Rainbow Six Siege and War Thunder—also became affected. RSS gives the same response when clicking PLAY as TESV SE does, but War Thunder manages to launch the game. Still, after pressing PLAY in the launcher, the game closes and behaves similarly to the other two titles. I’ve tried various fixes, but nothing has helped. I’ve asked friends for advice, and only one mentioned their friend had the same problem with RSS, who also uses an Nvidia card (like me). This makes me think: a) The issue might be related to Nvidia hardware. b) Windows updates have been released since the original problem, so it should have been resolved. Right now, none of the three games are functioning properly, and they all close in the same way. If you have any suggestions or solutions, please share them—I’d really appreciate it!

I completed this via the WT launcher, but it didn’t work. I haven’t tested it in Steam yet. Appreciate the help.

I followed your advice for all three games. War Thunder reported three missing files but said they would be restored; however, nothing occurred. RSS didn’t detect any missing files, and TES V SE also showed no issues. The issue remains unresolved.

I believe the problem isn't related to storage capacity, since I still have extra room—about 719GB out of the 2TB available—on the device I set up.

If anyone else faces the same issue, I ran Steam with admin privileges. It could have been the initial step I should have taken, but it now functions properly. I appreciate the suggestions from others who helped resolve this problem.
