Hello everyone, welcome! I’m new here and apologize if my setup is off. I operate a premium audio production studio and mastering center running Pyramix software from Merging Technologies. This program relies on RTX64 via IntervalZero to assign CPU cores for DSP processing (they refer to this as "Masscore"). We recently acquired a powerful machine for various projects, including this Pyramix installation, but we’re encountering errors that make it seem like the system isn’t communicating with the allocated cores. This is hindering its performance. We’re trying to identify the root cause, suspecting it might relate to CPU power management and C-states. The developers recommend disabling C3, C6, C7, and C8, but I can’t find a straightforward BIOS option for those settings on my ASUS Prime X299-A II motherboard. While I can toggle the Autonomous C-State to Auto, Disabled, or Enabled, it doesn’t seem to resolve the issue. Could anyone assist or offer guidance? Your support would mean a lot—especially if you can share some great vinyl or CD recordings! Thanks, Brendon
P.S. My system specs: Intel Core i9-10980XE, ASUS Prime X299-A II, 4x 8GB DDR4-3200, Corsair Vengeance LPX Seasonic Focus, 750W modular PSU, basic GT730 graphics card (just needs audio).
Consider sending them a quick email to keep the conversation going. This appears to be a very particular and uncommon setting, and I share @tkitch's view that it's rare for anyone to know such detailed BIOS options. It's frustrating when you have to wait so long for support, though.
I reached out and received a form to complete. I’m hoping they can assist, fingers crossed! Thanks for the suggestion! It seems like the C-state choices are quite consistent across many ASUS boards, so maybe someone could help disable C3, C6, C7, and C8. As per IntervalZero, this should work.
