I can suggest some open-source GUI options that support major brands and may integrate well with your switch. Let me know if you'd like a list or more details!
The RJ-45 port functions as a Serial console. It uses a DB9 connector in a unique design (Cisco, Dell, Juniper, Force, HP have adopted this for years). When your device has a 9-pin serial connection, you'll need this: https://www.thebarcodewarehouse.co.uk/sh...9VEALw_wcB. If the DB9 end connects to the machine's serial port and the RJ45 goes into the console port on the switch, everything is set. Otherwise, USB adapters like this one work well: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06Y4XNMT1/r...il_0?psc=1
Nope...that is a USB Ethernet adapter. Here is an article describing the adapter you'll need http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/e...es?lang=en If your computer has no RS-232 port you'll need to get an RS-232 to USB adapter as well.
Also keep an eye on the connector layout... don't rush to purchase the first cord that seems compatible. Ensure the pin configuration matches; incorrect settings will cause issues. New components come with the appropriate converter if needed. If you don't have access, consider building your own solution.
