Hi everyone, I need some guidance on how to resolve an issue with Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I started playing on December 14th and downloaded the game. The next day I began, but my FPS was around 30 at first. Once I loaded a character, my FPS dropped to between 25 and 30. I tried adjusting all the settings and even going to the lowest graphics options, but the FPS remained at 30.

I reached out to Ubisoft support, and they’ve been in touch with me for about eight days. Each time they suggested new fixes, nothing resolved the problem. They mentioned I should lower my settings and accept the situation.

Things got worse when I considered contacting Steam to request a refund. I paid £90 for the Gold edition, played over two hours, but still didn’t get a refund even after explaining the issue.

I’m now wondering if there’s anything more I can do about the game to fix this problem.

I received a follow-up email from Ubisoft six months ago, but I haven't played the game since then.

it's terrible you'd think they'd assist with a refund, but they insisted it wasn't our business lol

The situation appears unusual regarding the frame rate. It seems unrelated to gaming, possibly a hardware issue. Could you share your CPU speed and whether the game is running on an HDD or SSD?

Try to use a higher CPU if possible, and check if the HDD is causing issues. Which drive are you using? Can you install it on an SSD as well to see if that improves things? Also, what graphics preset are active?

Well, honestly, UBI is just a publisher—do they still develop games themselves? Have you checked the latest benchmarks?

I have an OC RAM, around 2200, probably around 3000MHz. I’m considering getting an SSD and want to confirm if that’s the problem. Unfortunately, it’s as high as the CPU maxes out even with boost voltage. The HDD is a Seagate 72000 1TB drive.

I believe they continue to be developed by Unsoft. If you're referring to game benchmarks, the average is around 20.

alternative options include userbenchmark or 3dmark, for instance.
