Support for Teams Integration now launched on Windows 11.
The updated Windows 11 dev release now includes Microsoft Teams, but it feels different from what was promised. The logo appears as a video call icon instead of the full Teams branding. Hovering or clicking reveals a setup menu with some notifications. After setting up, you’re directed to your existing Microsoft account on Windows, where you can link Skype or Outlook contacts to Teams or switch accounts. Clicking “let’s go” shows your contacts in a compact widget, offering chat and meeting options, though the meeting button is currently inactive—hovering triggers a “coming soon” message. There’s also a feature to launch the traditional Teams app directly. When you tap the chat button, a smaller version of the classic Teams interface appears. Overall, the integration seems more understated than expected, with limited changes beyond the meeting setup. Though not the final release, this update introduces the Meet functionality. What do you think—would you try it when available or stick with your current setup?
