The specs indicate the Ryzen 1600X supports up to 2667 MHz RAM. If you use more than that, the system may fail to boot. Your 3000 MHz RAM doesn’t work either, but it functions at 2400 MHz. The issue at 2667 MHz is likely due to outdated BIOS settings. Your motherboard uses B450M Pro 4 BIOS with P1.10 updates.

It should operate at a faster pace, though an update to the BIOS might be necessary. The advertised speed refers only to officially approved rates. I tested RAM at 3200MT/s with my R7 1700X after some BIOS upgrades. Ryzen had some initial issues with RAM compatibility. It seems ASRock advises sticking to BIOS version 3.5 for your CPU type. With the newest GPU driver installed, you’re covered. Still, I recommend upgrading to version 2.0 first before moving to 3.5. Overclocking might benefit from that release. Plus, unexpected power outages could damage your motherboard.

Review the bios upgrade notes prior to proceeding. A previous bios release might be needed before installing earlier versions, and direct upgrades aren't always possible. Certain bios versions have removed support for older Ryzen models like the 1xxx to enable newer Ryzen 5xxx compatibility. AMD recently provided an AGESA package—a universal file included in all BIOSes—that supports every Ryzen chipset. However, at one point, some manufacturers had to discontinue support for certain Ryzen series (such as the 1xxx) to accommodate newer processors. A typical update usually finishes within 2 to 3 minutes.
