My laser workhorse Brother HL-5150D was removed from Win 11, but Brother downloads guide points to Windows Update and doesn’t offer a downloadable driver. Until recently, I managed the issue by printing to the shared HL-5150D on a Win 10 machine connected to the network. Recently, it stopped working and no longer connects to the shared printer on Win 11. I’ve adjusted settings like switching from BrPrint to winprint and disabling print jobs on client computers, but nothing works. I’m cautious about using the Printer Migration Tool since it copies all printers on the Win 10 machine, and I don’t want to risk moving working printers to the new system.

The HL-5150D is 19 years old, yet it still functions well, has two paper trays, and a toner cartridge is available.

Is there a method to transfer drivers for just one printer on the Win 10 machine so I can test it on the Win 11 version? Any other ideas?

Maybe the standard PCL software available would function on Windows 11.

Thanks a lot, dwd999. My old printer is working again on Windows 11. I was about to scold myself for missing the link, but I couldn't locate it after searching. If you remember searching for "brother enhanced pcl driver," you might find it on another page. Appreciate the help!
