I recently switched to a new router with a 1GB plan and tried to use the speeds but was too far away. I bought a MOCA adapter using coax cables, but my connection only reached 640Mbps, 200 upload, and 20 ping. I’m mainly concerned about ping and download speeds—are there any adjustments I can make on my side to improve this?

It looks like you're considering how data moves through your setup. Systems handling noisy physical connections often slow down to maintain quality. You might want to verify with the MoCA adapters connected together—damaged cables could be the issue. What adapter models are you using?

Moca experiences greater latency which explains the higher ping you're seeing. 20ms is still acceptable, though I've encountered slower connections before. What version of Moca are you connecting to? You're likely aiming for around 800 Mbps with Moca 2.0, but any interference on the line could affect performance. Moca 2.5 should theoretically support gigabit speeds.
